Dr Kahan is the Medical Director of the Mentoring, Education and Tools for Addiction: Partners in Health Integration or META:PHI program. META:PHI provides education and oversight to Ontario’s Rapid Access Addiction Medicine (RAAM) Clinics. Prior to his retirement in 2023, Dr Kahan practiced as an addiction physician at St Joseph’s Health Center and Women’s College Hospital in Toronto. He has been involved in education, policy and research in the addiction field for many years.
