People who use substances can experience health complications, yet healthcare providers often feel ill-equipped to provide substance-use related care. This has resulted in many people who may benefit from substance use treatment, not being offered, referred to, or able to access evidence-based care. There is an urgent need to ensure that frontline healthcare providers, other professionals and people with lived and living experience of substance use have easy access to up-to-date information about best practices and standards of care.
The Zoom rounds will generally take place on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 12pm MST.

These rounds align with CRISM’s goals[1] of:
- Using strength in numbers to unite the Prairie Provinces — these sessions provide a valuable opportunity for clinicians and researchers across the Prairies to share their work and collaborate across provincial boundaries
- Exploring diverse pathways to recovery — by creating a virtual and accessible platform for information sharing and dialogue, more people can be engaged, and multidirectional learning can occur
- Building capacity — these rounds provide an opportunity for education, collaboration and discussion
