Node Funded Project (Oct 2025)
Title: Actioning FASD-Informed Care in Substance Use Treatment
Principal Investigators: Jeremy Weleff
Co-investigators/collaborators: Dr Jacqueline Pei, Lucy Digny, Tracey Craig
Description: The current project includes two interconnected activities that aim to improve our understanding of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) in individuals with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and brainstorm ways to improve the approach to service for this population in addiction treatment settings. For the first part of this project we are conducting a systematic review that aims to synthesize existing literature on the prevalence of SUD among individuals with FASD. The second part of the project is the delivery of a knowledge exchange workshop titled “Actioning FASD-Informed Care in Substance Use Treatment”. This workshop will be co-led by a multidisciplinary team at the Canada FASD conference in October 2025.
